It’s been a little while between updates we know, but hey, life takes over these things sometimes. Nevertheless, we’d like to introduce three new releases on Winter Records.
Firstly, the debut from the North Gambier Amateur Bowers Society,
C Sharp Blues.
36minute bow scrape ‘odyssey’ that posits the Society somewhere between the blues drone of Jim O’Rourke’s
Happy Days and Henry Flynt on horse tranquilizers. Finest thing to come out of the Blue Lake City since Dave Graney (after Karl Melvin of course). Liner notes by celebrated arts correspondent Arthur Shackleton.
Keeping on the tuning obsession, Cameron Wood turns in
Three thoughts on C tuning.
Explores similar territory to that first chartered on his Rhizome Label debut year before last. (Read: same shit, different tuning). Surprisingly upbeat. Yellow!
And the UFO disc of the month
3”cd-r of cut and paste piano meditation. Modestly housed in blank canvas sleeve. Minimalistic statement on ‘the void,’ or tacky ‘make your own artwork’ gimmick? It’s a mystery even to us.

Apologies if the reply takes some time, we’re relying on the public library for hotmail these days. Or you can write to us:

Prices are something along the lines of $10AUD for cdrs, $8AUD for 3” cdrs. If that sounds unreasonable then lets haggle and trade.
